I love the sense of community here on the Surf Coast. Everyone is so supportive and as a local business owner, we really feel surrounded by kindness.

We’re very grateful for the amazing local real estate agents who have been very encouraging from the start, and clients who have trusted us with turning their personal or investment homes into market-ready properties.
— Jackie Zulliger - Founder Surfcoast Property Stylist

Founded in May of 2016 by Jackie Zulliger, Surfcoast Property Stylist specialises in staging homes and preparing properties for inspection and sale. Working with the architectural elements of a property and location, Jackie infuses her creativity and coastal-luxe designs to create an outstanding first impression for potential buyers.

Though her company is relatively new, Jackie’s interest in interior design started as far back as her childhood. With a fashion designer mother and a furniture designing father, Jackie was immersed into the arts and design industry early on.

With a fascination for colour, pattern and texture, she enrolled in RMIT and graduated with a degree in Interior Design. Before styling properties, she worked as a fashion designer managing visual merchandising and store displays, styling photoshoots, and producing fashion shows and exhibits.

The call to start her own business came when her daughter started kinder. With extra time on her hands, she ventured into property styling and the rest, as they say, is history. Although she admits to being a city-girl at heart, she and her husband have been living on the Surf Coast for 13 years and are happily raising two children here.

What is it about the Surf Coast that inspired you or your business?

“Real estate has been growing so much in our town and buyers have become more sophisticated and driven by first impressions.” Jackie says.

“With a real interest in the property market, along with my background in fashion and interior design, I understood the connection between the ability to create something and the power to attract the market. I knew what property styling could achieve for a property, and I saw a gap in the market for a stylist that represented what the Surf Coast lifestyle is all about.”

“Many people don’t know that we offer interior decoration and design for clients living in their homes.” Jackie says.

“Most of the work I do is with clients who have bought the homes I’ve styled for inspection and sale. They’ve fallen completely in love with the home during the sale process and want to have our aesthetic permanently in their homes.”

“However, as we’ve been adapting to a new normal, home has been the centre of our world. Now more than ever we’ve been working with clients in beautifying their lived-in spaces and carving out serene and happy spots in their homes, allowing them to literally give each other space in their old shared spaces.”
